The beauty of purchasing patterns at My Favorite Quilt Store is you can conveniently purchase many of the items needed to successfully complete a collage quilt. They have specialty scissors, Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 (purchase 4 or 5 yards), pressing sheet (like the scissors, the pressing sheet is a one-time purchase and can be used over and over again) and pattern ease (1-1/2 yard per art quilt). Links are provided above for these items. My Favorite Quilt Store also has lots of beautiful fabric in yardage and precuts perfect for backgrounds, backing and binding fabrics. While I first “shop” from my stash, I always find special fabrics like Kaffe, novelty (for the Halloween and Christmas art quilts), panels (Santa gumball quilt) and ombre (angel wings) to add to the collage I am working on.
